Description of the problemStrong fuel odor inside and outside of cabin. Outside smell is strong at rear passenger side of car. Cannot leave car inside of my garage because of the strong fuel odor. (especially if fuel is over 1/4 tank) no visible leaking of fuel on floor. After speaking with other mercedes e55 owners, many appear to have the same issue. I have a small amount of fuel sitting on top of sender units under the rear passenger seat. I have a newborn baby that i cannot transport in this car due to the fumes. I purchased the mercedes for safety and i don't think raw fuel located directly under my baby is safe. I also see a pending investigation already open regarding this matter. Please direct mercedes to do the proper thing and perform a recall to address this serious safety concern. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S.
